Traveling from Canada to Mexico – Latest COVID Travel Regulations

So we’re finally out of travel lockdown in Canada! And you probably think that this is the perfect time to take that trip you’ve always wanted to. And it is!

If you are looking for a place to chill in, Mexico has the best resorts in tourist centers like Tulum, Cancun, Punta Cana or Cozumel. But if you’d rather dive into a new culture and discover new ways of life, Mexico is an incredible country to do so too.

First and foremost, you currently do not need a proof of vaccination or covid test to come to Mexico. So, here’s one thing not to worry about.

Citizens of Canada do not need a visa to enter Mexico either, unlike most nationals of other countries. However, they are required to complete a Mexican tourist card, commonly known as FMM (Forma Migratoria Múltiple), which is a mandatory requirement for all travelers who visit the country.

The Tourist Card (FMM) may be issued for up to 180 days after arrival and is issued per person, including children.

Remember, if you want to go anywhere in the world, iVisa is here to help you comply with all travel requirements and get your documents ready so that you only have to focus on the fun part of traveling. Simply go to and submit your nationality and destination to get the process going.

We are leaders in consumer-travel documentation by running all applications faster, easier and stress-free. Where it’s electronic visas, tourist cards, passenger locator cards and any other type of health declaration. We’re here to help you simplify your journey through our user-friendly platform.
